One of the most common things I hear from clients in our first session together is some version of: “I don’t even know where to start.” If that’s you right now, I want you to know something important — there’s a shape to this journey, and you’re probably further along it than you think.
In the Envision Your Extraordinary Life workbook, I outline six stages of transformation that I’ve seen play out again and again with the women I coach. Wherever you are today, there’s a name for it — and a next step out of it.
1. Exploring
This is where every journey begins: quieting the inner critic long enough to imagine what you actually want. In this stage, you surround yourself with people and ideas that inspire you and give yourself full permission to dream without editing.
2. Building a Foundation
Dreams need something solid underneath them. This stage is about getting honest with your values and sense of purpose, so the goals you eventually set are anchored to something that actually matters to you — not just to what looks impressive from the outside.
3. Charting a Course
Here, broad vision becomes a specific direction. You translate your long-term dreams into goals you can actually act on today, and you begin applying real strategies instead of hoping momentum shows up on its own.
4. Embracing the Journey
This stage asks you to release the habits, beliefs, and stories that no longer serve you — including the ones that once protected you but now hold you back. It’s often the most emotionally rich stage, and frequently the one that produces the deepest healing.
5. Mastering Your Life
With a clearer foundation and fewer inner obstacles, you begin applying what you’ve learned across every area of your life — not just the one you started with. This is where consistency compounds into real transformation, and where you start to feel like the artist of your own life rather than a passenger in it.
6. Breaking Through to Success
The final stage isn’t really an ending — it’s a new way of being. You’ve stepped into the confidence and clarity to keep setting and realizing new goals, living deeply in the present while continuing to envision what’s next.
Where Are You Right Now?
If you had to guess, which of these six stages feels closest to where you are today? There’s no wrong answer — every stage is necessary, and none of them are meant to be rushed.
If you’d like a guided way to work through all six stages, the Envision Your Extraordinary Life workbook was built exactly for that. You can find it here. And if you’d rather walk this journey alongside other women doing the same work, our first Visionary Women’s Mastermind Alliance session is coming up on September 26th – Register here.
Wherever you are on the path, keep going. Your extraordinary life is not a destination — it’s a daily choice.
