Monday evening, I had the privilege of spending an hour at Twin Hickory Area Library for their Author Showcase, and I’m still sitting with how full it left me.
We spent the evening in real conversation about what an extraordinary life actually means — not the version you see on a vision board, but the lived, everyday version. I loved getting to share the story behind writing Envision Your Extraordinary Life, including some of the harder, more honest moments in that process that never make it onto the book jacket. And I shared stories of people who took their dream seriously enough to build a plan around it — and watched it become their reality. Every time I tell those stories, I’m reminded that this work isn’t theory. It works because people do the work.
These are the moments that remind me why I wrote this book in the first place. I didn’t want to hand anyone another dose of inspiration and leave it there. I wanted to give women a workable framework — something they could actually use on a Tuesday afternoon, not just feel good about for an evening.
