There’s a particular kind of energy that shows up in August. Summer hasn’t let go yet, but you can feel autumn gathering somewhere just out of sight — a season getting ready to turn. I’ve come to think of August as a hinge month: not quite an ending, not quite a beginning, but exactly the kind of in-between space where real change gets decided.
Every year around this time, I ask the women I work with the same question: what have you been sitting on? Not the big, dramatic goals — the ones you already talk about openly. I mean the quiet ones. The dream you’ve mentioned once, in passing, and then tucked back away because it felt too big, too impractical, or too late.
I think often of a client who told me, in one of our very first sessions together, that she couldn’t remember the last time she’d let herself dream about anything beyond the next to-do list. She wasn’t unhappy, exactly. She was just managing — surviving the week. It took months of gentle, deliberate work before she trusted herself enough to say out loud what she actually wanted. Today, that same woman is building something she couldn’t have named a year ago, and she’ll tell you the hardest part was never the doing. It was the permission.
That’s the first step in the framework I teach: Dream. Not planning, not strategizing, not even believing yet that it’s possible — just dreaming, on purpose, without editing yourself. It sounds simple. In practice, for most of us, it’s the step we skip the fastest, because dreaming without a plan attached can feel indulgent, even reckless. I’d argue the opposite is true. A dream you haven’t let yourself name yet is a dream you can’t move toward.
This month, I have two invitations for you. On August 10th, I’ll be at Twin Hickory Area Library for an Author Showcase, and I’d love to see you there — it’s always a joy to talk with readers face-to-face about what it means to build a life on purpose.
And this September, I’m opening a small, intimate group — the Visionary Women’s Mastermind Alliance — for women who are ready to move from dreaming into doing, together. If either of those is speaking to something in you, I’d love for you to reach out.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
The Visionary Women’s Mastermind Alliance is coming soon. The women who join me inside the mastermind are doing exactly this kind of work โ mid-year reflection, course correction, deeper commitment to their visions โ in community with each other.
There is still time to register, to connect with the community, and to use the second half of this year as the season your vision finally breaks through.

The second half of 2026 is waiting. Let’s build something extraordinary together.
With deep belief in your second half,
